True Life: She's a Public Adjuster

High School counselors do a terrible job guiding children to a worthy career. Doctor, lawyer, nurse are usually the choices given. The family business is public adjusting (whats that? "If someone has an insured loss we represent the client instead of the insurance company).

About 18 years ago when I briefly lived with the Young family in Scottsdale, I once said to Aunt Rae something that went like this:
"So basically, the lawyers are the ambulance chasers, and you're the fire truck chaser?"

I never enjoyed going to an inventory, getting dirty, and talking into a tape recorder by myself. It is amazing how you can see a pencil, forget its name, and say, "I have a stick with lead that writes and erases."

The first time I took Grant. He thought we were crazy.

I am proud that Mom still does it so often.

P.S. I would support the A. Alice Blog.

First, Alice must be pretty darn special to get not one but three large photos in one post. (I don't know if I have ever seen such an honor)

Second, Blogger peer pressure is coming on strong

Third, I need a manicure too

Fourth, Three cheers for the Pearl and Alice's first (posted) mirror pic.
