It was 1240 am

Not tired, and trying to decide who's hair was longer (mine). Then the decision (a CEM original idea) to braid our hair together.

Really we were just trying to see if we could have our own TLC show.

And you should see the ones that stent being published.

When there is nothing to blog

Earlier today my side kick was on the car with me. I told her I had been so busy at work that I didn't have time to blog this morning. I also told her I was too tired to be creative. She told me I could take a picture of her homework assignment and she would describe the process to make.

Fast forward this evening when her head was itching from what we thought was dandruff. We discovered the other four letter word for hell.

After a melt down, $90 in product, Inspection of all heads in the house and an hour treating and removing bugs (a true bonding experience): She and I determined that this was in fact blog worthy.

Damn lice.....

Neil Diamond World Tour 2012

Don't be jealous, we are officially the coolest people at the US Airways Arena (and possibly the world)

And a special thank you to Lilia Drew on waiting to make her special appearance

Lonely but a great invention

18 years later

I met Marco in 1994 and Kim M in 1995. They have been the longest friends I have met since being an "adult".  There isn't two more wonderful (and different) people.

Through some of my lowest and highest personal moments they have been there. And then there to celebrate professional triumph or pick me up from epic failure.

Had a great evening catching up on Saturday. Beautiful unconditional love, thanks for growing up with me!

I love you both (and your cool spouses)!

Diamondbacks Player #33

Tarzan had the opportunity of a life time to "be" a Diamondbacks player today.

A full fledged fantasy baseball game at Chase Field in his uniform, his teammates and his fans.
Each time up to bat they played "his song" (Superman).

And then my mom fought the 10 year old boy for his ball when it went into the stands.

Chicago in 12 hours or less

Hanging in the Windy City
(not so windy and hotter than H E double hockey sticks.  For future reference, jeans and a scarf a terrible idea when it is 94 degrees and more humidity 1000%)

Food network finds:
Highly recommend this one (best thin crust pizza!!!!) Mulberry Pancake house, not so much.

Navy Pier

High points for Lenore recommending the Garrets Caramel Popcorn!

Labriynth lesson

What the brochure says:

The labyrinth is a sacred path that will bring you to new understandings in your life journey. It offers a quiet retreat from the hurry up pace of daily activities. The labyrinth is 60 feet in diameter and more than 100 feet long and follows the 11-circuit pattern of the labyrinth inlaid on the floor of Chartres Cathedral. It doesn't matter where you enter the path but follow it through to its end.  Start again if you have to.  Reflect silently and exit the same way you entered.

My experience:

La la la  I am walking, La La la la da di this is fun. La la la  am I almost there.  WHAT - I am being redirected. Aargh,  La la aargh where do I enter now. REDIRECTED AGAIN??  the center is right in my view.  Aargh this thing goes on forever. La la new path. Oh wait (insert deep breath here) I get it. Slow down. Be patient. You will definitely get there soon. I wonder what is waiting when I get to the center. La la la what a peaceful, beautiful place.

 My take away:

In this beautiful thing called life - stay focused, surround yourself with people and places you love, stay calm and be patient.
