The seventh graders mom
CEM has been fighting a terrible cold/allergy/God knows what illness . She finally went to urgent care yesterday and got some decongestant. This morning I wrote a note for her to give to school nurse to distribute to her but she was worried I would need to take to nurse. As it turns out she was right the nurse needed a special form filled out. And we waited, and waited, and waited in the school office in this state.
When I realized that I was unprepared to be in office (sometimes we are oblivious) I told her we should take a pic. She was unphased with my appearance before this request.
So, in an effort to not embarrass her I took it as I was exiting.
The difference two hours makes

Eating our way through Disney
Tarzan read an article on food beast about 15 stunning food and drinks at Disneyland worth standing in line for. We had tried some (lobster roll and bbq chicken baked potato) but decided this Spring Break we would break the calorie bank and graze

Darn Children
Yesterday Ruth sent a pic of Annie of a child fighting the picture process. I love this kid
It reminded me of my attempt to 3 year old pictures of MJM. If I ever wanted to disown (or dismember) a child it was then. She practiced and practiced before we got to Wal-Mart. then we get there and she wouldn't if go in front of the camera. This young unprepared mother even stepped in to get her to smile/get in front of darn scary camera.
Then bribed her (please note that there is a fine line between tears/freakout and let me try to smile)
I was so mad that I left Walk-Mart without the pictures and went home for naps. Once home, I called her Aunt Tami who went to Wal-Mart to purchase the pictures unaware to me. When we woke up from naps the packet was sitting on my doorstep. With sleep (and now with years) behind us, I laughed. Laughing again now, and loving Annie even more!
