Exercise Partners

The last time I ran 3 miles I vomited. My exercise partner while very sympathetic kept pushing to get me to finish.

Yesterday I ran 2 miles or attempted to. Less than 1/4 mile into it my exercise partner and I came upon a yard sale. We scoped all the treasures, made friends, and set our $6.00 pile aside to come back with cash. We ran (she did great I sucked wind), talked, ran, walked. Then we stopped to get cash and found another yard sale. Walking home with our $20 worth of goodies in hand we couldn't have been happier.

I love all of my partners. I get both my physical and spirtual needs feed. Thanks to you all for getting me motivated.

My favorite quotes from my sister partners (you can guess who I exercised with yesterday)

Tami, "It's ok it you need to walk. It's hard to talk when we're running anyway'.

Ruth, "Keep thinking how good your ass will look"

Alice, "You've done this once, you can do it again"

Megan, "You are doing so great, I am so proud of you"

Great! It sounds like a good run. And most importantly, you have a long life ahead of you and you will be glad you are in shape. Mom

Not sure that is a direct quote.

Wanna do it again?

I would make a terrible Exercise Partner. My quote would be similar to Megan's followed by a "Let's just go to Starbucks instead"

Not a fan of running can't really run anyway since my back injury so I am all for walking. Glad you survived and found some yard sale deals along the way. Must be nice to exercise outside in December. I got mine today by shoveling snow.

How fun you sisters can get together. I can only imagine what my sisters and I would say to encourage each other....Rae would be way ahead with her long legs, not sure who would be the last of the other 3...Auntie Em

Kim - I'm with you, except I would have to include "Can we just go to Starbucks, in the car?"
