Yesterday Ruth surprised us with a blow up pool for my poor children who have to improvise on a hot summer day (and as a tropical get a way for mom).
.
The kids had so much fun. First they got to get wet with the hose while it filled up. Then they got to jump in a swim around...........................for 10 minutes at which time our neighbor leaned over the fence and offered for them to come swim in a real pool (which they did for the next 2 hours).

I'm taking a page from the Skinner playbook, Sydney is getting a blowup pool today. Bravo, Ruth!
Nice job, Ruth! A blow-up pool is better than no pool!
This is a funny story. That was nice of Ruth to buy you a pool and I am excited the girls are getting close with their neighbors!
Yeah!

Too funny! My first thought could be mis-interpreted, so I'll just say
Yay for Jane's kiddos!
Where was the neighbor when there was NO pool? He just needed a little nudge!
Fun, Fun, and more Fun! Mom
I dunno they looked like they were having more fun on the cement.
what a great gift! It provided them fun AND got them into the neighbor's pool :)
I love the new pool anything works to keep us cool! When I was in college in Buffalo we used to unscrew the fire hydrant and use a can of soup (emptied and both end taken off) to spray the water across the street... It was hot in Buffalo the humidity almost killed me each year!
