Good Bye Dell

There is a famous quote "It takes one minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye".  I turned in my notice to Dell 3 weeks ago and have felt like the last three weeks have been an ongoing flurry of emails, texts and phone calls from co-workers and friends.  Then yesterday, my last day, a weird silence.  As a "remote" employee the last day is very different than I have experienced before.  No box to carry out to the car, no cake wake, no cool gifts or no celebration activity (And trust me I have had some doozies.  When I left Maricopa, Jerico hosted a pirate themed celebration in the hallway of the hospital).  Friday my boss called me at 830 am to say goodbye, my last formal conference call at 9 am, my last deliverable at 1130 am and an email from each virtual team member. Then quiet. No pomp, no circumstance. Just quiet. Then the migraine hit and there was not even a consideration of celebrating (future blog to come however is the great delayed birthday gift that Tarzan got for me).

I loved working for Dell. Great company with great values.  I will forever be the brand.

To all my Dell Friends:
May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back.  May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields.  And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.  ~Irish Blessing

Tonight Tarzan, Tami, Dan and I went on a double date. My self declared mini-celebration for the next big Adventure. I'm going (back) to Dignity Health as the Vice President, IT Clinical Improvement.

We had wonderful Italian food (we all over ate), great conversation and a sad thought provoking movie Robot and Frank.  CHEERS ALL (that's about all you are going to get with a still aching head)

Congratulations and salutations.

This is a good time to say,

I'll see ya when I see ya unless I see you sooner.

Dell has been good to you and I have been impressed with the friends you have made.

On to new things!!!!! Isn't life grand?

I was actually just looking at your magazine spotlight during my last move :) love this picture.

I always hate for the company to lose good, make that GREAT, people and hate that it seems to be happening a lot lately. I am very excited for your next adventure - Dignity is 2x lucky!
