In Response to Kim's Blog

At the risk of annoying (and possibly entertaining) blog followers here is my response to kim's blog http://kim1champ.blogspot.com/2008/01/in-response-to-jane-says-blog.html

Your wish is my command (finally)

For as long as I have known the champ she has wanted to arrive in Phoenix with a message waiting for her. Last night when I arrived every where I turned I thought of her. To name a few: Wendy's vanilla shake, See's Bordeaux Candy, The Family Bathroom, closed Starbucks, Chili's, a bottle of ketchup. (In my head I am singing "How can I forget you girl Not by the Flock of Sea Gulls).

So I get this brilliant idea to go to the white paging phone and leave a message. 20 minutes (not 22) later I get annoyed that it still hasn't shown up on the screen. I then resubmit the page for her entertainment and take a picture before it gets lost in operator hell.

Oh by the way I get in the car with heartburn from the baked ziti at the Burbank airport and what is waiting for me? A bottle of tums purchased for the pg Kim on the last visit.

How can I forget you girl............................

Where in the World? KT's office, Pasadena CA

The other morning I woke up singing "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego" after an odd dream of traveling with my old hero. The song has been stuck in my head since then. I have tried to push it out but it keeps returning.

Since the world is a blog I decided to use this as a new series. So, here is the first of many. Where in the World is Jane?

Almira Says

Today while searching for Disney Princess Quotes (long story) I came upon the meaning of Belle and Aurora. This sparked my curiosity and I started checking other Princesses

Ariel - Lion of God
Aurora- Dawn
Belle - Beautiful
Cinderella - Little Ash Girl
Giselle - Hostage
Jasmine - Jasmine
Pocahontas - She is playful
Brittney -Land of the Britons
Jessica - Debated Meanings
Melody -Melody
Sydney-Wide Meadow

Since Giselle was highlighted recently, I was particullary interested in her name. Maybe she wasnt safe in my car afterall.

Are you a princess? http://www.babynamesworld.com/

Enchanted

How fortunate that Gisselle is safely buckled for transit in my vehicle. Not what I expected when looking in the rear view mirror.

Lowes versus Home Depot

Melody boldly stated two years ago: "Home Depot; you can do it we won't help". Today as I was gathering paint and wall paper removal supplies, I was reminded a couple times how great there logo was. When I was at Lowes I asked the associate what there logo was. He pulled out a map with a printed logo and said "Improving Home Improvement". He was wrong. A frequenter who lives in Pasadena informed me it is "Lets build something together".
.
So:
1. Who has the better logo?
2. Lowes vs. Home Depot?

Bad Choice

Today Jessica and I were flipping through a People magazine when we came upon this add for Ranch dressing. She turns to me and says, "Why would anyone put pudding on their vegetables. This is a bad choice for a desert".

Best Email of the Season (From Cousin Paula)

Just a minute to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all....and to show you an example of why I don't bake much anymore. Three kids tend to be too distracting from the task at hand!

Happy Holidays!

Imagine my suprise when I look over to Jessica's post dinner (I'm hungry mom) snack at Aunt Tami's house. At first glance it is normal beige colored Capn' Crunch with Red Shields in honor of Super Man. Who knew that the cool non-blue shapes turn the milk blue? Can't be healthy.

Great new do mom!!

The best gift (my [4th] Chrismas post)

The best gift I got for Christmas was the gift of love from my three beautiful girls (oh yeah and a shout out to my mom who gave me the much sought after dual purpose waffle maker with removable plates that can be washed in the dishwasher, yeah!)!!
