Ok it's a long one, with twists, turns and side stories. Stay with me it's worth it......
Today during the Q and A session following my speech at Snow a cool kid in a gold sweater asked me about how I know I'm on the right path. I responded with a very altruistic, empathic I love 22 and when I see that number the angels I guiding me response.
SIDE STORY at a small crowd lunch with me, Tami, Jeffry Russell Huffman, David of Snow, CEM, Larsen littles and Kaitlyn "Katie". Clark shared a poem he wrote asking Katie to be his girlfriend (👍 we like her)
SIDE STORY Afterwards we went to a local thrift store and the 22's made an appearance.
Driving from Ephraim to Layton we decided to stop in Provo for dinner. I googled "local restaurant in Provo" and the first thing that came up was "Station 22". Of course.........
Our waiter arrived. Jarrod. Immediately Tami declares to his face that his was great eye candy. Engaging he sits and hears our story. And we hear his. Because we came from Snow, and because his "gal" is at Snow (not the weather, not cocaine, but after the brothers) we got to hear about her. And because we came from a small town we assume that the Abbie we met earlier was his Abby. To see if the world is as small as we think it is he showed us a photo. Gorgeous girl, but not our Abbie.
Long discussion - which ends with Tami saying he had to write a poem. Poor Jarrod was so kind and didn't roll his eyes once and said it was complicated. If you've met her she wasn't about to drop it. So she authored it. And shared it and I committed to blog it.
SIDE NOTE I signed the receipt at 822 pm
Dear Abby
So we had a dinner at a place called 22
And we met our waiter who showed a picture of you
The cutest special Abby who goes to Snow.
And then we wanted to know if this relationship would grow.
As a matter of fact I wore a shirt with a Snow S
So we want to know if a girlfriend you would say yes.
It may be a bit complicated but take a leap of faith.
But you can go at your own pace.
He’s nice, he’s genuine and really quite cute.
He’s a hard worker and more to boot.
So Abby please let a family from Arizona proud
Will you help him not be alone in a crowd?
So 3 min away we ran into this sign. It is indeed a poetry night.
1 min later Tami air punched "go Abby"
And the story ends with Tamis torn muscle In her right arm from the cheer.
SIDE NOTE for CEM and Tami SWEET CAROLINE 🎶 🎶 🎶
