Dumb onion slicing injury

I love my V slicer. It cuts, slices and dices better than any other kitchen tool I have. But it likely is the most dangerous.  (There is a guard you cann use, but it takes too long).

I have had this injury before ( it doesnt hurt as bad as it looks) and It's much better than the thumb cut.

The dilemma is that texting and typing is a drag it must have been several years since I did this. Bummer
