Thanks in advance for using Thank you

If Thank You is more formal, and more grateful than Thanks - then what is Thx in texting?

Is this like using Xmas instead of Christmas? (A major pet peeve of mine btw since you are Xing out Christ)

It just may be a new passion for me. I would suggest for something important, say Thank You.

and Thank You for loving me!

    I have "thx" set to auto-expand to "thanks" in my blackberry. fyi
