Hey, this is (fill in the name) Thomas. My Aunt Laura loves my mom so much she decided to post my picture (my mom is a first born). I know that it is not all that recent (darn doctor, he seems to think that we cant take another picture until 22 weeks), I also know that my smile is not near as big as my big sister's (who is also a first born) but I will definitely be the cutest and the smartest (just like Aunt Laura, Aunt Becca, Elizabeth, REM, Clark, Emma, Ethan).

Ok and maybe mom and Sydney.

BTW I get first dibs on Laura's curling iron. She has also stated that she will jump on the trampoline with me if it is not socially acceptable for me to use hot utensils on my hair when the doctor takes another phot in 4 weeks.

Basketball Stars

CEM had her first basketball game this weekend (seen below in this terrible motion shot). Never before have I thought that the children were more like each other. Like REM she was the tallest on the co-ed team. Above and beyond that she couldnt have been more like her sister in how she approached the game. She was so focused and had a fire in her eyes so intense to win.

Without one team practice, she played all of the plays that REM's coach has taught her over the course of the last year. She was the first kid at the other end of the court, didnt stay in the key too long, didnt double drible, she was always there for the pass or rebound (a particular REM strategy).

Best part is that she got the whistle called on her when she stole the ball and was headed down the court (apparently this league at this age that is not acceptable).Thank goodness for older sisters who teach life lessons every day while not even realizing it!

CEM convinced Grandma Rae to come jump on the trampoline this last weekend. (what is so darn funny about this companion choice is that I always reject the opportunity to jump because the jumping is no good for a mother of three ie. I will pee my pants. Grandma as the companion is the mother of five kids. Guess I get these genes from my dad's side). Amused at the whole thing I get the camera to take pictures. What I found the funniest though was not my mother balancing on the black bouncing area. But the new eyeglass holder.
