New Obsession

Almost 10 years ago I had my eyeliner tattoed on. For those who have followed the blog for any amount of time you know that it was the most horrific pain of all time. 5 years ago it needed a touch up. As painful as it was the vanity was worth it. Some how the pain was even worse the second go round.
.
I took a picture of my eye (long story having to do with x-ray versus laser vision) and noticed that my eyeliner looks horrible. It has turned blue and darn will need to be retouched. I really dont know if I can endure the pain.
.
Crap, why does Kim's have to look so fresh and hot (sorry Ruth)???? And why can't I stop thinking about the color blue?

Yeah, that's the problem with tattoos: they fade in the sun after a few years. You're lucky it's not turning green! :)

ow. I thought getting my ankled tattooed was painful. Eye is too crazy to think about, though I've been tempted to follow in your footsteps a time or two!

Don't get permanent make-up from the frilly ladies. If you really want to touch up, go to a real tattoo parlor. They are not the same. It doesn't fade or change color and really doesn't hurt that bad. (I heard getting a tattoo on the small of your back hurts much worse.) It has been over 10 years (wow, holy crap), and I still have black eyeliner without touch ups.

Anyway, in person, it is not bad.

I read an article about tattoos (why? is a good question) It said getting one on your eyelid was the most painful and the most dangerous and only go to a cosmetic Dr. - be careful. The next painful is ankles or other places without much padding. I think I'll skip them all together. Mom

I wouldn't do it. It's a good thing I'm so naturally gorgeous without makeup.

Alice-RO!

Jane-Whats her name has perfected this in the last 5 years. I have a ver low pain tollerance and after blindly following you it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.

As far as blue versus black she said that if you go a dark grey (like I ended up doing) it is less likely to fade.

I havent regretted mine for one second. In labor I said "I look awful" and my mom (who hates tattoos) said "but your eyes look great"

Is it really just too much to take 30 seconds to put on eyeliner in the morning?

My tattoe of Classic Pooh high on my thigh hurt just a bit nearest the bone - but other than that it was no big deal. I got him at Bodean's Tattoe Shop after I had Jesse check it out to be sure it was a clean & safe place. The black outline has not faded only Pooh's red shirt has faded with age. It's been almost 12 yrs since I got my Pooh. I will just let him age gracefully. Auntie Em
