One of the first major purchases (over $100) I made when I graduated from x-ray school was an opal ring. I reminds me of independence and goal setting. So I wear it on any occasion that I would need good fortune, whenever I have a manicure or to just have a happy day. It always works :).Oh, and yes: my hands do look like my mothers
Beautiful ring...did you know that the Opal is Australia's national gemstone?
ReplyDeleteAn ex-boyfriend gave me an opal ring once.. I wonder if I still have it.
ReplyDeletePretty! I have a ring that was my first "big purchase"--bought it my Jr or Sr year of high school. Opals are Auntie Em's birthstone and her favorite gemstone.
ReplyDeleteWow - the first thing I thought was how your hand looks like your Mom's and funny to read your comment. I do love opals - I have lots of them. I was born in Oct. Auntie Em
ReplyDeleteWho Knew? I have an Opal ring too. It was my grandmothers...
ReplyDeleteI don't have an opal ring :(
ReplyDeleteno ring for me either, though I do have an opal necklace all the way from Australia :)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that you post this... I was just realizing yesterday that my college ring is the only jewelry I wear that was not given to me by the husband. That made me slightly disappointed in myself! I should be able to have some independent jewelery ;) you go, girl
I don't have an opal ring either...it is very pretty!! Jenn Ann And Queen, I think we need to go buy opal rings. I think we should put that on our to do list!!
ReplyDeleteHears to pretty rings, independence, goals, and good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove those hands. It is amazing what one mother can do. We should put all our hand together and see if they all look like my mothers. I had an opal ring but it got stolen. But - I love pearls. Mom
