Yesterday I get a frantic call from my mother:
Mom: Where are you?
Jane: Sonic
Mom: In Phoenix?
Jane: No Mesa
Mom: So you are not in California?
Jane: No I'm with the kids at Sonic (side note Happy Hour 1/2 price drinks)
Mom: I just wanted to make sure you were not in the same diaster we are
Jane: What's going on?
Mom: I dont know we were headed to Airport, they just dropped us off after the bomb threat
Jane: Where are you?
Mom: California
Jane: What bomb threat?
Mom: I dont know we are trying to get the news on the internet now
Jane: Where are you again?
Mom: By LAX, we were dropped off on Century Blvd
Jane: You are in California? Going home or going to?
Mom: Yes we are at LAX
Jane: When did you go there, I guess if I were still taking care of Henry I would have known that
Who knew that I would miss the bird

I love that we all have such clearly communicated conversations with our mothers :)
I don't know whats funnier, that you actually miss taking care of Henry or the thought of your poor parents walking around Century Blvd. Poor Mom and Dad....that is a nightmare.
Wow, just another Dave and Rae experience. I guess it was just a "freak (natural gas?) explosion" close to the airport. It does seem strange, though, that the buses were just dropping people off a block away from the explosion and letting us walk all the way around the airport. It was a little scary to be in lost in the middle of LA and not know what was going on. Who knew they send out 8 bomb squad vans and escorts for a freak accident. Oh well, home safe but my favorite running shoes are some where in LA. Love, Mom
I love it...I have the same confusing conversations with my mom. LOL!
mmmm...is this a Rand trait? I sometimes have conversations that play like the game "operator" with my mom too....fortunately, not often
I can't even talk to my mom right now...too many secrets going on, and I'm afraid I might slip! :)
What happened to Henry? I didn't know he wasn't in the family anymore. You never know where your Mom & Dad will be at any given time!!!!! Sure glad I can read your blog to keep up on this family info. Auntie Em
I love Sonic - yay for happy hour drinks there!
Poor mom and dad!
