Watching the candy jar slowly getting consumed as co-workers with dirty, stinky, I just went to the bathroom hands grab a handful every hour on the hour OR a candy jar that no one touches because the it hasn't been refilled in months and the candy has crystalized.
(This doesnt happen with individually wrapped chocolate)

Both are gross but the gummy bears are worse because people are still putting their hand in the jar and eating them and then probably putting the colors they don't like back in the container. But I am one to talk; I have a huge container of oreos on my desk that is half full that I keep telling everyone to take some.
oh, come on, the sugar in candy acts as a disinfectant to germy hands :)
it is only gross if it changes the taste of the candy.
