Through personal and professional changes. Through life as it happens. Some of the most loyal, honorable women I know.

Awesome coffee and regifting this am with the Queen (who made a incredible traffic sacrifice to come to me) has set forward a wonderful day and a personal reflection of how lucky I am (if we had more time we could have posed in the fountain).

"One Document Under Siege"

Very rarely do I read something and be so moved by it that I think about it for a week following. Last weekend at the pool I caught up on all of my TIME magazines. There was an amazing article about the US Constitution by Richard Stengel that did just that.

The article starts out:

"Here are a few things the framers did not about: World War II. DNA. Sexting. Airplanes. The atom. Television. Medicare. Collateralized debt obligations. The germ theory of disease. Miniskirts. The internal combustion engine. Computers. Antibiotics. Lady Gaga"

From declaring war to regulate commmerce the author touching on how the Constituion has survived because it is a broad set of principles, not a code of laws.

How amazing the 223 years ago (yeah I wish it was 222 also) that the framers were able to put these principles (mostly in secret) togehter that are still serve the Nation. Well done gentlemen!

Truth is...

Rae is the coolest person I know. If she wasn't my mom I would go out of my way to be friends with her.

AZ dust storm

Apparently we made national news with the crazy dust storm 2 nights ago.

Poor MJM as a Jr life guard volunteer had to help clean up the pool by hand yesterday. My big clean up Will be the foos ball table on the patio l.

At the airport this morning there was a whole line of cars who's owners are going to love cleaning when they get home l.

Hottest day of the year

Saturday it reached 118 degrees in Phoenix. According to the news it reached 145 degrees inside the tents at Tent City (Sheriff Joe even sprayed the concrete down to help the prisoners out).

Saturday morning at the Laurel house

I slept in until 10:24 am today. When I awoke I had to pull up my calendar after spending most of my dream hours planning my joint birthday with Miranda (big milestones she will be 16, I'll be 40).

Before I knew it I had a Skinner bed with a twist - all parties, all electronics.
