Spring Break Day 3,4 & 5

Water and Park (not Water Park), Hollywood (where I cared about Ripley and the kids cared about Wax. Also, a great place to lose your drivers license), Raffis' Place (Persian and Armenian at its best), Disneyland & CA Adventure and The Real Disney (Did you know that Sydney has more Ariel videos than my children - and they are all not even opened??).
.
PS Shout out to Carol - you are the best mom (second only to mine)

Happy Belated St Patriicks Day

Posting this picture cost me a pair of shoes. Figured better late than never

Spring Break Day 1 - R U ORNGE?

When I used to actively follow the Suns there was more of a focus on Purple than Orange. I guess that is so 10 years ago. The US Airways Center is now Planet Orange.. We loved every minute of the adventure with our last minute ticket purchase.

Amy I found Fred!

In high school I had this little mouse pin I used to wear on my shoulder (long story I am sure it made sense at the time). He has found a permanent home on my letter sweater in the back of my closet.
.
While in Greenville I found a whole collection of mice. In fact they have a kids day activity called "Mice on Main" where the kids can locate 9 hidden mice throughout the city. I found one by the rib joint. But figured the most entertaining was putting one from the General Store on my shoulder to entertain Amy.
.
And yes Kim my face is white.

Random Tuesday Thoughts

  • Wonder what the weather is like in Orlando
  • Knock em dead Sam
  • Poor Charlie is hanging out in the rain

Promotion??

Can you just picture the conversation in the City Managers office after the City Council decided to have amusement parks in Greenville?
  • So who is going to manage the rides?
  • I dont know have Freddie do it.
  • Ah he's to busy with the county fair
  • Ok lets have George do it
  • Ah no he's retiring soon and he needs to focus on the waste project we gave him
  • Ok give it to Duane, the elevators can't take that much time to manage

Second look

While waiting for the shuttle in the Ellis lobby this week (a fairly upscale funky boutique hotel) I look to my left.

Then I look to my left again. Yes that is hairclips on the plant.
Atlanta is great for blog material. Andrea Braun, I am so jealous.

Wealth of Knowledge

When I am traveling and having a hard time sleeping not only am I funny, posty and available when I am sleep deprived but I also am the world's best google searcher. Things I have wanted to look up for months suddenly pop into my head as an urgent need when the room is dark and quiet and I am on the wrong time zone.

This week has been an incredibly fruitful searching week. I found the best organic pies in Southern California, found Lara's Closet on line, bidded on ebay for (and won) a used Polaroid camera, found the best rated home exercise equipment (decided against the human dynamo :( ), know all there is to know about blood pressure problems, and spent more time on facebook than I have since I have had the account (where I turned into physco mom when I realized my 14 year old had "lover of the day" posted to her wall.)

While searching for "tickets to Oprah" (Tami's dream come true), I came across a recent show with Roger Ebert. I was super confused that Oprah was in a different outfit on the same show.

This turned into a search of "Oprah and Roger" I think someone else was confused too.

Who knew that his wife (Chaz, she is a lawyer) looked so much like Oprah. I know it was 3 am. But I was so confused because I always thought Gene was his partner .

(If you want to know the origin of the thumbs up, thumbs down, where he went to college, why he looks so oddly different, his opinion on why people thought he may be gay, Chaz, how he ot his voice back, Oprah retiring, how how to get tickets to her show please let me know).

Especially the larger sizes

  • Its a video clip from CBS Atlanta
  • Its less than 2 minutes long
  • Trust me well worth the time invested in watching
