I haven't been to the grocery store forever (no really ask my kids, or look at my dining out bill)
Here are the top 3 things I didn't buy.
We sat in a sea of yellow (alumni section) across from more yellow (student section) cheering for blue (which had a limited section).
And blue won in the last two seconds of the game. I still don't understand why we invest 3.5 hours when the game is decided in last minute. And did learn (where have I been the last 40 years) that the end zones change each quarter, not at half.
This week I made a friend on the plane (third year U of A medical student going to San Francisco for a medical conference).
While engaging in conversation is usually not my thing during what should be my quiet time, I was intrigued when he told him roommate that his Indian father had bought the Taylor Swift cd this week (my review - love 22 for obvious reasons but the songs feel forced and unimaginative).
We talked about the election, India, which speciality he was leaning to and Michael Dell/Steve Jobs. He was squishy when I asked him if he carried an iPhone. His Samsung was stolen and he was carrying his old phone. I said to him "if you have a flip phone I am so going to judge you". He then pulled out the much loved, much missed Pearl.
I am so totally not judging (good thing he gave is Razr to his sister).
My corporate office is on the corner of 3rd street and Berry in San Francisco, right across from the Giants stadium.
100 feet away, not attending (and couldn't be happier :-) )
Ps that's my taxi hailer smiling in the background. He's not going to the game either.

This is one of my favorite pics from the pumpkin patch. In an effort to take a pic of/with every animal, REM squatted to get on the same view point as the bull. Due to the importance of this school mascot, Tarzan highlighted with the flashlights we brought for the corn maze

Friday night we went to the Pumpkin Patch with my parents (please note, I have never taken my children to a the Pumpkin Patch and all years prior the pumpkins have been purchased at the local grocery store)
While the teens and pre-teen was.slightly mortified at hanging here on a Friday - we all had a great time, got some cool pumpkins, awesome pics and incredible bonding time.
Ps if you are ever lost in a cornfield take REM.
