Happy Halloween-AZ style

You know you are the youngest when your sister and her BFF help with the pumpkin carving
You know you are cute when you are better looking than the original princess

My cameo ring

In 1991 I was in an antique shop in Logan, Utah. I saw an antique ring that I fell in love with. A college student and broke there was no way I could afford the $300 price tag

For 22 years (yes 22) I have been looking for one that 1. I could afford 2. that I loved as much as the 1991 muse.

In that time I have learned about shell vs. plastic vs precious gemstones, antique vs vintage, carved vs ultrasonic machine etched.

While in Athens, Greece I found a reasonably priced modern hand carved portrait cameo of white on blue layered agate set in silver and complimented by garnets (my 19 year old self would be impressed).

I love it!

Top 5 pics sent to me week ending 10/25

Late Funny

So Tami sent this to me in September.  I laughed and laughed and laughed. But never blogged.

I was backing up pictures last night and laughed again.

This is Dan the Man at his best. When asked to transfer the tator-tots from the cookie tray to the dish for the casserole he beautifully arranged in the most efficient manner. This is how he works and I love him for it.  While exhausting, he has taught me better ways to pack, stack and organize.

What cold looks like (Boston style)

Taking a boat ride off of Boston Harbor, on the coldest day.  We all roughed it out as long as we could.

Then wound up downstairs in the stuffy lower part of the boat.

Tarzan was the coldest (but then again he was in shorts that was appropriate the day before and the day after)

Damn I love this little person

Number 77

Every so often I have an event where I watch the children perform and stop in 100% amazement at the growth I have seen.

This week was one of those times.  I haven't been able to see one if Clark's games in almost a year. I have heard his mom brag on him, his dad cheer and Uncle Grant get technical with his skills.  Watching his game I sat it awe at how great this kid is.

Well done Mister, I am amazed and proud

28 hours in Central Coast

I always say how thankful I am that there are so many people that love my children.  This post is how thankful I am for the many people that love me.

No matter what phase of my life, emotion, or physical state I am in Amy has been there (and she encourages the eating if sugar and appreciates me being bossy).

This week she tagged along on a work trip.  I'll take ever minute I can get!!!

Massachusetts Fall Colors (Blog 2)

Our East Coast names

So, it's hard to understand people in Boston (exhausting actually). The long drawn out a's and r's, and always sounding angry.

Apparently they can't understand the silly white girl from the west coast either (please note, the vanilla bean frappuchino was order last. I think the barista just gave up when it got to CEM)

Arizona Original Scream Park

It's MJMs season!  As the lover of the Haunted House, she has already gone 3 times this year.

Last night I went with her to The Scream Park. Overall review was that we laughed more than we screamed.  But loved the monsters that posed with us for photos.
