And the red hair blows

While in Santorini I wanted my hair down (absorb the salt water, better for pictures).  These may be my favorite of all of the series of pics taken.

As you can see my the end of the day, I just gave up and pulled the whole mess back (But I did get one great one :) )

Top 10 pics sent to me week ending 8/29

Triple D, AZ style

Since we are in our own zip code, we decided to try local cuisine as suggested by Diners, Drive In and Dives (AZ has 16 of them now).

This one is a great find. Awesome atmosphere and super good comfort food.  No AC.  Will definitely take the kids back when it is under 80 degrees.

Phx Theater

After a bad blogging week, Diane and I climbed oddly around MJM to pose for a pic after a great showing of Rent.

El Chavo

REM and MJMs Spanish teacher recommended this hole in the wall (ie she talks about it all the time). Finally we went.

The owner talked me out of my first order of tositos (pork rinds served cold) and leaned me towards the tostada.

Most authentic Mexican food in AZ.

Muy Bien!

Change aversion therapy

I had the of late rare occasion of being in the same zip code as KT this week.  Because from separate states we have publicly gone on record as unsupportive of the Starbucks acquisition of La Boulange we decided we needed to immerse ourselves and "buy everything on the menu".  Everything meant 21 (geez 21 really, I trying here) items so we settled on 6.

Review:
-All of the croissants are actually darn good
-The berry croissant may be the best item Starbucks has ever carried
-The tomato and cheese (insert pizza here) was really good but shouldn't be eaten with coffee
-Loaves were mediocre, not sure I would order again
-Donut but great, wouldn't order again
-"Warming", "warm", "served warm" marketing is annoying but they are right the chocolate croissant must be warmed

Ok I'm over it and am leaning towards being a promoter of the croissant products.

Ps if you are in Phoenix I was as St Joes and there Starbucks is still serving the old pastries

Pour some sugar on me

So, while I am a Hot IT Chick j am often an early adopter on technology but a late adopter on applications (I think this has to do with my dedication to Word Feud).

A couple weeks ago Leah informed me if her new addition to Candy Crush with the warning ,"you brain works a lot like mine- trust me if you start you will be totally owned by it".

Since it took me two years to follow up on the recommendations to watch Big Bang theory I decided to go for the download.
It's true I am addicted (damn Leah), currently stuck on level 29, and annoyed with the time out feature I have had conversations with all oft children on their time spent on the game and have invested $2.98 to get additional lives in level 15 and 23.

The addiction was confirmed when looking at Jess' belly button ring I could only see blue candy.

Saturday Celebration

As the family grows, so do the hang outs. A celebration of 6 July and August birthdays and the official end of summer equaled 4.5 hours of fun included a dance number by the Young Sisters.

We got ashed

And of we all doted the littlest, precious Annastasia.
