500th Post

Human diversity makes tolerance more than a virtue; it makes it a requirement for survival.

Small, Medium or Large (or None) Part 2

While I don't care for purses, I do take hydration very serious

Small, Medium or Large (or None)

Megan's claim is that she needs the large purse because she has kids. While fashionable the better plan when you have children is to have someone carry the wipes and an extra diaper for you.

Which is why I carry none.

It's the Economy Stupid

For weeks I have been annoyed at the media's reporting of the terrible economy. People are still spending money and the parking lots are full. Sunday at 945 when I arrived at Costco (which opens at 1000) their was at least 60 people in line waiting.

Either there is a whole group of people looking for food sample instead of the church potluck on a Sunday morning or just maybe the money is being pumped into retail (hmmmmm at an average of $300 per consumer).

It's a good thing we elected a new president to help the economy.

Bass Pro Shop

Some how after 1 1/2 years I finally made it to the Bass Pro Shop. While the entire adventure had me entirely out of my comfort zone, I did fall in love with the 3D Camo Wear. My favorite, can you imagine the uses?

Twlight or Storm?

Brittney is begging for a Twlight t-shirt and all of her friends in Home Ec went to the premiere last night (so did Jacquie). Its a good thing she has a ticket to go with Ruth, Megan and grandma tonight.

There were 100 people in line at Verizon this am at 500 am for the Storm.

I love you all but you are wierd.

So do you enjoy the Twilight or the Storm?

Guard Dog

I went to pick up Melody from a friends house the other day and these two vicous sounding dogs come running to the door. When they opened the door the littlest growled at me. Apparently he is the meaner of the two.
Say hello to Sparky.

Merry Thanksgiving :/

This weekend i bought BIG Christmas presents for the girls. (I decided to start a new tradition and give them their christmas presents at Thanksgiving since they arent with me for Christmas this year). Since Thanksgiving is only 1 1/2 weeks away I decided to hide the BIG presents in my bathroom rather than an offsite location.

I am now reaping the pain of that choice.

Yesterday I move them all in there block my bedroom door and lock the outside door. I go on my merry way until last night at 1030 I decide I want a bath. Damn the key doesnt work.

I then proceeded to go through every key I have. Have you ever been in your house but locked out of your bedroom? (I just wanted a hot bath)

I slept in the guest bed and used the guest shower. Locksmith will be here at 7:00 so I can be dressed for work, but my hair will be crappy today.

Next time it gets stored at grandma's house.

School Nurse

Jessica came home with this paper after being "bonked on the head by the wierd kid in class". As I was reading it, all I could think was "How long did it take the school nurse to come up with this form and did the school nurse experience each of these events?"

Now that's an interesting job.

Pet Peeve

When you have beautiful planters surrounding a buildingYou need to be cautious when the plants die
Because it becomes a trash can instead of a flower pot

Give a hoot, don't polute (I do realize I just aged myself)

First Grade Homework

Jessica and I were doing her homework the other day. I was so interested in this particular work that my mind was wondering across the page. As I wondered from house to house and person to person I came across Mrs. Rivera. On the surface Mrs. Rivera looks like a nice enough person. However I was bothered that she looked like she was walking backwards. Since I wasn't paying full attention to the assignment at hand I didn't say anything.

As we are wrapping it up Jessica says, "Mom why is Mrs. Rivera's feet on backwards"

Darn good question.

I found a Pie!

Today at work I was walking back and forth between HR. On my second trip I noticed this personalized calendar. Odd, I took a picture. Minutes later on the third trip I noticed the next one. What are the chances?

On a scavenger hunt later I did notice one that said "Charlotte", however she never left her cubicle so I could take a picture and figured it didn't matter so much for the post anyways.

A snapshot is never accurate

Paula and I were walking through Centennial Park with the East Coast HCBC. We were looking for our names (which proved to be very difficult). We finally found a brick with Paula's first name. We stopped to take a photo (isn't she hot????)

From a distance Kim was concerned for Paula's safety (this is of course why she is taking photos, not calling for emergency intervention).

No, a snapshot is never accurate.
